15 Minutes To Pain-free Knees

Whether it is from aging, a medical condition such as arthritis, injury or repeated stress on the knee, knee pain is a common complaint that affects people of all ages.


Here are 4 easy acupoints which can improve knee health and alleviate pain. Twice a day, spend 2-3 minutes massaging each acupoint using the fleshy part of your thumb or middle finger. With just 15-20 minutes a day, you will be working towards a pain-free and healthy pair of knees!


 

Zusanli (ST 36):3 inches (about 4 finger widths) below the outer depression of the patella/kneecap, 1 finger width lateral from the anterior border of the tibia

 

Dubi (ST 35): Below the patella/kneecap in a depression lateral to the patellar ligament

 

Weizhong (BL 40): Midpoint of the transverse crease of the popliteal fossa (center of the horizontal line at the back of knee)

 

Yanglingquan (GB 34): In a depression anterior and inferior to the head of the fibula
